Making The Most Of Your Winter Traction with Kitty Litter

Kitty litter has a few more uses outside of helping a cat’s litter box stink less. Sand can be used for more things than allowing you to walk barefoot on the beach. Also, rock salt is great for several things, although livening up your food, or making ice cream aren’t either one of these uses.

If you’re stuck this winter in a pile of snow, frozen ground, or another piece of earth that you can’t seem to break free of, you should pour kitty litter under any tires that keep spinning, round and round, without getting anywhere. Don’t use it on any pavement – like your driveway, especially – as it will get very slippery, even causing accidents.

Spread salt on any similar surfaces, and wintry mix won’t take home to those areas. Use sand after a storm on your driveway for added traction, or the above. Or, better yet, call us at DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota for help.
